What should I wear to the ReStore when volunteering?
Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes (athletic shoes or boots are best. No ballet slippers, crocs, heels, clogs, sandals, etc.).
I’ll be there all day, do you provide lunch?
We do not typically provide meals for volunteers. However we usually have snack, coffee, and bottled water in the breakroom.
Can I bring a group along to volunteer?
Certainly! We host groups of up to 15 people volunteer at the ReStore. Contact the volunteer coordinator to set up a time to bring your group out. Please note, all volunteer groups must be scheduled in advance. Contact the volunteer coordinator for more information.
How does my time at the ReStore help Habitat for Humanity?
Every task a volunteer performs replaces the time of a paid staff. This means that you are keeping our overhead cost down, and allowing us to give more of the money spent at the ReStore to our Habitat affiliate to build homes!
