The ReStore accepts donations of new and gently used building supplies and home materials and then sells them at 50-75% off retail prices to the public.
Materials in the store were donated by public and private donors. They include item such as appliances, cabinets, counter tops, HVAC, lighting, lumber, trim, windows and much, much more!
Through the donation process, thousands of tons of materials are diverted from the landfill each year!
There are over 750 ReStores in the U.S. and Canada, with 20 of them in Wisconsin!
- Provide a funding stream that will, at minimum, fully pay HFHSCA administrative costs three years after ReStore start-up. This will allow 100% of monetary donations to be used for home building.
- Provide inexpensive building materials to the general public, specifically targeting small contractors, and people of low income.
- Recycle used, surplus, or useable damaged building and home improvement materials normally discarded into local landfills.
